The Institute of Modern Languages, State School of Higher Professional Education in Poland, has announced that Antonio Diaz’s proposal, entitled "Best practices to enhance student’s interaction in the foreign language classroom" has been approved by an anonymous reviewer and will be included in the program of the international conference Speaking in a foreign language – effective learning, teaching and assessment.

Antonio J. Díaz completed his 9th Spanish Language Immersion trip to Costa Rica. He led a group of 12 High School students who lived for 11 days with local families, attended school, and participated in several fun activities such as zip line, and rafting.

The Hawaii Association of Language Teachers (HALT) is pleased to inform that Antonio Diaz’s proposal "AP Spanish Language Vocabulary in context: a way to enhance student's understanding of the vocabulary" has been accepted for inclusion in the program for the 25th Annual HALT Conference at the Hawaii Imin International Conference Center on Saturday, March 5, 2011. The California Language Teachers Association (CLTA) announced that Antonio Díaz's proposal, "Understanding the rubrics for the interpersonal and presentational portions of the AP Spanish Language Examination", has been accepted. The 2009 conference will take place in Sacramento. Mr. Díaz's presentation is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, 2009.

Antonio Díaz and Stacy Droessler presented in the Foreign Language Association of Virginia in Richmond. Their workshop titled "How to put the Chispa Back into or WL Classes" was attended by more than 50 elementary, middle and high school language instructors from all over Virgina.
